Why Travel Alone?

Traveling solo is an exhilarating experience. It unlocks mysteries, shapes new perspectives, and makes us feel both vulnerable and empowered.  The first solo journey is often accidental - a recovery plan that fell through, a response to a life changing event, or maybe a search for something more out of life.

We've been raised to avoid uncertainty, avoid the worst, and be afraid of new places.  As women, we seem to go everywhere in packs, even to the bathroom!  Initially, traveling anywhere by yourself feels awkward at best or terrifying at worst.  And then somewhere in that first solo venture a sense of confidence sneaks up unexpectedly, a taste of freedom settles in and suddenly we're hooked!
